just seen this in the daily mail,, so thought would share it with you all,
, i was involved in an road accident years ago and got car reg etc as he hit my horse 3 times trying to hurry us up around twisty road,, took him to court, he got let off,, not enough evidence and i was told , its probably time to stop riding on the roads,
but finally as this case shows justice is being done,, 'You're a bully and used your van as a weapon': Road rage driver who rammed into horse rider jailed.www.dailymail.co.uk
Must have been a terrifying ordeal for both of them & could have so easily been fatal. Well done that Judge! There simply isn't enough publicity for horse awareness in my opinion & for some of us road riding is a necessary evil.
thanks honey i couldnt get it to copy,, i i gave up riding on the roads after my accident as my horse was too precious to lose in this way,, she suffered post traumatic stress and the vet thought we were going to lose her,, i had to keep her rugged during the summer as locals thought i was mistreating her,, she looked like a skeleton,, 7/8th arab,,
the vet at her wits end asked me if i had ridden her since the incident i said no, as she spun both her rear shoes off, when she spun and reared in the road,, didnt want to incase she was still in pain,, well looking as bad as she did i didnt want to either,, she convinced me to get on her that day, and well and behold she started to recover and got her appetite back,,
it was the last thing i expected of her,, she was 19 when we had this happen and she went on to live to the good old age of 29 1/2 being ridden up until 6 weeks before i had to make that sad decision,,,
