Just watched my Xmas present DVD "Path to Glory"...really so interesting, with wonderful old and new footage....and great to see some of those great names appearing in Laddies (El Chenz) pedigree.
Worth putting on the wish list.

http://pathtogloryfilm.com/Trailer.html

What a lovely Christmas pressie!
I've posted a link to the trailer of the film for anyone who hasn't heard of it. I haven't actually seen the film yet, maybe I'll put it on my Birthday wish list (hint to OH)
You may have had more replies if this had been posted on the main discussion forum as it's a horsey topic, (just sayin)

We have two with some strong Polish blood, and all of our mares are also Russian or Russian x and descended from some of the great Polish horses of the past which ended up in Russia after the war. Poland has produced some incredible horses and continues to do so. The one name in all of our horses that stands out is Skowronek, a horse that seems to be common to many British bred horses of today due to his Crabbet connection.

We are lucky enough to have one mare with the blood of Bandos, Eunice, El Paso, Czort, Europejczyk and my favourite named Fantastyk (who was renamed from F*rt on being exported to the USA).

Certainly Fharida has the most incredible breeding of all our horses, and has never (don't believe in tempting fate) had the vet called out. No doubt this will happen one day, but she has always been fit and well.

Lots to admire in Polish horses, and they still seem to produce great quality horses. I love my Russians, but I see the quality in all the Arabs, and a quality horse is a quality horse.

Here they are

My son got me the DVD for my birthday - and I have watched it loads of times. My mare Isharaa is supposedly mainly Russian - but I see she has loads of the Polish arabians which were taken by the Russians in her pedigree - including Mammona and Wielki Szlem.
When you think how many of those beautiful horses were captured and killed - yet they have still got some of the most incredible horses in the world.

An absolutely wonderful DVD
