I posted this pick of Poppy yesterday. She had been out in the snow for the first time and then seemed very reluctant to come out from under her blanket.
As the day wore on I started to worry. She was not hungry and din't want to move. if I carried her outside she would relieve herself and then come straight back in to the house where she sat shivering untilI wrapped her up again. We were all set to go to the vet this morning but miraculously she is back to her old self after a night under my bed covers. Any ideas? no tummy upset or sniffling, just lethargic and cold. Perhaps she wanted to hibernate!

Sounds a bit like me except I'm always hungry and don't pee in the garden! Maybe she was just chilly and wanted to snuggle. Hope she is OK today. |

| Sounds to me that she just got a chill. Gussy really feels the cold as well. Maybe it is a Jack Russel thing, our setters are much hardier in this respect. So just keep her warm and a sleep at night UNDER the blanket is an absolute must. By the way do you have room for another JR and 2 setters under your blanket? The monsters are driving me up the wall today with all their mischief. |

| Poor Poppy i hope shes back to her normal self soon, my JR always sleeps under her blanket even in summer, she wanders outside 3 times a day to wee and poo then straight back into bed , mind you our English Pointer wears a coat all day she has a fleece for indoors and an assortment of different outside coats and she too sleeps under a blanket at night, our Border Collie on the other hand is a tough boy and just has a bed and no blanket on top. |

I guess we all have off days even dogs , glad she is ok now , they feel the cold though dont they ,perhaps she just fancied a warm blanket like you gave her  |

Poppy is back to chasing cats this morning. I think she might have stayed out too long playing in the cold the day before she had the duvet day.
Sorry Gabi. I could squeeze another JR down the bed but I don't think we would get much sleep. As to the setters, no thanks. my collies are banned from the bedroom after their muddy excursions. |

| So glad Poppy is fit and healthy again, you must really bring her over to meet Gussy and the rest of the gang. However, I really cannot understand why you would not like our "angelic" English Setters. |

| We have a little Patterdale x JR called Pixel who waits to be covered by a baby blanket after she's had her bedtime biscuits. At this time of year the blanket covers her bag bed,which I made out of quilted fabric folded in half and then bound round the edges. Thinking of putting a piece of rigilene in one half of the next one as she is a bit dim about getting herself inside her cosy heaven! When we come home from the field she heads straight for the fire to dry followed by total blanket immersion until the next outing. |
