This is Dalziel and Rockford a few minutes ago, snuggled up on my bed with their "hero", Bodie.





Bodie is very good with the babies and particularly likes Rockford; I took a short video of them together but I'm having trouble uploading it to Photobucket so I may add it later, if I can!

I haven't tried uploading a video before; it's only a few seconds but it took a long time. Perhaps I should have compressed it (it sounds as though I know what I'm talking about, doesn't it)!

I can't open the Quicktime video from this post (although I've just downloaded the latest update).

Absolutely not . Please consider it a lame attempt at being funny .

The video should be viewable with Flash. Do you usually have problems watching videos here?

Rui I know you're an

I can watch most videos posted on AL - except Quicktime ones!

When I downloaded the video clip from my Canon camera to my computer it automatically named it MVI_0970.MOV and it opens and plays when I double click. I uploaded it to Photobucket where, again, I can play it. I just can't play it from AL!

I love technology - except when I can't get it to work!

When you open it on your computer, is it Quicktime that pops up and displays the video?

I dunno, it doesn't say anything, it just opens and I hit "play".

It says QuickTime Movie on the information bar at the bottom of the screen if I just single-click (where it would say .JPEG if I single-clicked on a photo.

Yeah, Quicktime seems to have taken over. Is there a special reason for you to use Quicktime?

Probably uninstalling it alone will fix the problem and Windows Media Player will take its place. If you need a player, I would probably advice VLC. It's a good, free one, but I would suggest that you try viewing your videos as you normally would and only if can't, then proceed with the VLC installation.

Thanks Rui, I'll try to uninstall it (I know I have to go into Programs/uninstall rather than just deleting the shortcut icon from the desktop).

If you have an uninstall option, that is one possibility. Another would be to go into Control Panel. The specific option depends on the Windows version in use (admitting you are using a computer).

I've successfully uninstalled Quicktime and, as if by magic, the video appears. What would we do without you, Rui - thank you!
