Batten down the hatches, Fara and Kis and all their friends are in their stables coseypie and munching their hay. Wild winds and swirling rain here. Glad we put them in, Fara couldn't get out of the field fast enough!! is everyone else feeling the force??

wind picking up here (south west/central scotland). My 2 are still out but rugged up and have hedges to hind behind. No rain as yet. Stable yard roof isnt the best so I reckon it is probably best to leave them out. Will be a sleepless night for me tho. Last time they were out my back door, this time they are 12 miles away and I cant get to them. |

I'm sure they will be fine , our field isn't all that sheltered, the stables are probably over a hundred years old, I'm assuming if they've lasted this long we should be fine. Fara is a real stable lover, she would probably live in 24/7 if I let her, in my bedroom!!!

Yep, very wild here (Scottish Borders) My stables and field shelters are located in their paddocks, so they come and go as they please |

strange day here in Aberdeenshire, brilliant sunshine one minute and windy and raining the next, but not nearly as wild as expected.......yet. |

Sunny/overcast in parts, a bit windy (died down from this morning) but very very warm!! how strange.
Horses out in the field, no rugs happily muching their way though the grass. Plenty of shelter with the trees and hedges and also the field shelter if they choose but I've just left them munching away

Fara has a field shelter too but as the ground is a different colour inside it she won't go in unless following me, Arab trait, methinks, puddles, different coloured grass and leaves all give her the heebie jeebies. Articulated lorries, tractors and heavy traffic don't bother her pretty little head one bit! Go figure????

well today is worse than yesterday for us. It ws really windy yesterday...today we have wind AND rain. Like proper pelting it down. So pleased I put Storms rug on, he doesnt look as miserable as the others. Velvs munching away in middle of field whiel I struggled to see her through the rain. I got myself all rugged up prepared to stand in the rain to give her her feed and what did I do? Forget the bloody headcollar . Didnt fancy my chances with just a leadrope round her neck so I decided to leave her out. Tomorrow had better be nicer. |
