Wolverhampton Sat 10th September by Paul Simmons
Pure Arab (PA) Maiden over 7 Furlongs: TO WIN – Hard to oppose the Julian Smart stable, he’s won the last two maidens with juveniles and Al Afreata is beautifully bred (dam half sister to G1 winner Asraa Min Albarq) and should take this maiden. PLACE CLAIMS- The well bred Murjan (her half sister won her maiden over C&D) who was 5th to Basela here over this trip and 5th to Suhaim last time out and should have come on for those runs. Dratzan is a well bred Swedish colt and is the choice of Simon Walker.
PA Handicap 0-85 over 1 Mile 1 Furlong: TO WIN – Ambrose won the Breeders Cup with authority and looked back to his best when winning at Salisbury over 8f and can defy his 6 lb win penalty (beaten 2 lengths by Suhaim off level weights at Notts but now getting 4lb). PLACE CLAIMS – Suhaim has won 3 races from 6-8f and could defy his welter weight and score again. Marwah won her maiden nicely over 9f at Hereford and could be improving.
OPEN (TB, AA) Handicap over 1 Mile 4 Furlong: TO WIN – Jiggalong won nicely at Hereford over 14 furlongs and was then 2nd to Adalar over 10 furlongs and should be able to take win this race for the in form Delyth Thomas yard. PA Handicap 0-100 over 6 Furlongs: TO WIN – El Adjban won over this trip in a Premier handicap at Kempton AW, and has been placed in G1 and G3 sprint behind Aziz, he has the class to win here. PLACE CLAIMS –Zayin Barakaldo won twice last term, his maiden at this track over 7f and the 6f Premier handicap at Kempton, he won at Notts in August over 10f and was third to Areej last week and should make the winner pull out the stops.

Golden Dream won over 6f last term and was 3rd to Pavot Al Kyle over 7f at Hereford, untried over this trip but siblings Midnite Dream and Dantes Dream all stayed this far and could be in the shake up.
PA Handicap 0-70 over 7 Furlongs: TO WIN – All weather queen Delyth Thomas (won 3 races here in July) should take this with Jaamahir, he won the 7f Dubai Day handicap last year, and beat WFA Leopard at this track in July over 6f and gets a handy 5 lb pull from top weight. PLACE CLAIMS – Syrah Gris won the 7f handicap on Dubai Day (beat subsequent winner Razen), has since been 4th to Suhaim and 3rd to Ambrose in a higher grade.
