For those experienced breeders out there, do mares rib cages often stay "expanded" after having their 2nd foal?
Taylor had her second foal in April, and her rib cage is still very "wide". Obviously she is still feeding etc, but I expected it to retract again, like it did with her first, though obviously not as much as pre foals.... is it common to stay like this?
I know mine never went to what it was pre-kids, but hers still looks huge!

very different from mare to mare... some mares never get their figure back after just one foal, and some can have 5 and look maidens apart from slightly bigger tits. |

I have one, she has had 4 foals, the last in 2009 and she permanently looks ready to give birth. The other two, one had 3, also last one 2009 the other has her 5th at foot now, both return to a good figure pretty quickly. Guess they're like us, all different. |
