I've just seem a similar thread and the suggestion was a milk jug tied up filled with treats, one of mine likes a piece of rope,I've also heard of pices of apple, carrot etc. in a bucket of water.

Hi Nissibay. Where've ya been? I missed you.

Mine don't officially have toys, but they can reach each other over the partitions to scratch and play. I am watching this post though because my gelding Ari likes to play with anything with velcro. He gets hold of my coat sleeves and hood.
They also pick up plastic feed bags full of plastic bottles that are on their way to recycling. perhaps large plastic milk bottles would make a good toy.

When Triskar was young, he used to have a thick rope tied to the rafters that I tied knots in - he'd spend hours untying them, presumably practising for his attempts at freedom when tied up. Tris also had a dog pull toy ring hung from the rafters as a teething ring, although it didn't stop him teething on me.

I tied a stuffed dog toy elephant to the rafters too, but he bit its head off!

All of mine have the head of a yard broom, bristle side out, attached to the side of the stable for a scratch/self groom. Bertie has a horse football with the handle, but the dog keeps stealing it.

Ours all love the decahedrons with some yummy smelling goodies inside. partly deflated football/basket ball (not hte sort the fabric will lift off though) - just soft enough to nibble on and almost pick up, keeps them entertained.... dunking them in water buckets! Veg kebabs and baked loaves of bread are also good. We've used the very tough doormats with deep grooves as scrath walls in the lunge pen, stallion love to lean in and get a good rub going!

I got a treat ball for Pasch but then I realized he'd eat too much sand and dirt when picking up the treats(he's in a small paddock when not in the field)and risk a colic,so wasted money really
Doormats a great idea, always better than wood fences...
