you cant take bids after you've put down the hammer, he is lucky the 'winner' didnt insist their bid stood as the last bid. They would have been within their rights |

I agree Lynda, and I find it sad... they still have their classic Polish breeding, but the stallion list this year is worse then ever regarding NON Polish stallions... Im starting to fear a bit for the true Polish horse in 20- 30 years time.
Doug... it was very unfair and I would have gone MAD!... at a time in the selection sale he was the oposite though... very firm that he had sold to the 3 ladies the the first table... made me wonder if it was depending on who was bidding |

I think we got a bargain, a granddaughter of Europejczy and Kubinec, one considered by some the best Polish horse ever, (national champion and unbeaten on the turf 8 out of 8 wins), and Kubi. She is the daughter of a European reserve champion colt and European Ridden Champion, and her Polish dam was very successfully shown in Germany. But, only 50% Polish and significantly cheaper than any listed above.
I am looking for a partner to breed her to next year, Polish and by Europejczy, El Paso or Eukalyptus, any thoughts. We have Werter in mind but haven't seen him in the flesh, and would consider others. She is 14' 3" and is quite speedy. She has a promising future as a ridden mare, is fast enough to race and has the stamina expected of an endurance monster. Which Polish stallions would you suggest we look at?

I thought kubinec was a Russian stallion? sadly Misteri , we cant point you in the direction of suitable stallions as that might be seen as promoting for advertising. |
