Just a Thank You to the organisers of the show at Wetherby this weekend. As in previous years this show goes from strength to strength even in this difficult period for shows in general. I do think 'Entries on the Day' helps catch the people who like to decide to show 'On the Day'. The Northern Show always manages to give that something extra. It is so friendly with polite and helpful people trying to make your day with them memorable. It definitely works for me and has done for years showing or just spectating.
Yes it 'RAINED' but we didn't melt, even our sodden horse and sodden handler excelled our expectations and stormed round the ring with exuberance. 'Snort and Blow' wasn't in it - Misha was out to enjoy herself whatever the weather. Brilliant job Mark, thanks so much.
They say the sun shines on the righteous and the rain stopped just nicely in time for the afternoon classes. Well Emily and Merlin were really 'Shining in the Sun' on this occasion. Well done Emily and for Agonia too, both horses went so well. Congratulations to everyone else who had success at the show too.
Only problem!!!! My catalogue got soaked' all the ink blurred so the few results I got just mizzled away.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeze - post some results soon. I always try to keep records for posterity (Saddo I know). I know we won the 2yr old fillies In-Hand and the Open Ridden Stallions and 'Agonia' won the Novice Ridden Mares but as far as anything else - zilch. Got a few piccies but interesting rain speckled through misted up lens ones!!!
p.s. Have you started on the 2012 schedules yet? (Dates??? pencilled in my diary already - the one group of shows I definitely won't be missing - Highly Recommended).

Thank you Brenda, it's hard work for the committee the weekend of any show but it makes it all worth while when our efforts are appreciated. Our show is always the third Sunday in June so get marking that calender.
its always such a lovely show, I dont think we could have made our debut anywhere else!
One small suggestion..... could we have the in hand ring and the ridden ring seperate please?? perhaps with the marquee in between? I know the in hand is lovely to watch but all the snort and blow set off quite a few of the ridden horses and broke their concentration
Agree this is always a great show thank you everyone who helped me out as usuall was handless thank you to everyone who spent countless hours arranging the show and putting up with dippy competitors lol.xxx
