Dear Rui, Thank you for your kind reply; now, not only can I not upload pics, the wretched laptop now wont send e-mails without me inputting my Windows a/c password and user name and then it still wont send them, because it doesn't seem to recognise username and password and when I go through all the moves as advised through the help box - it still wont accept them.It has only just started doing this, and has never done it before in all the three years I've owned it! Grrr - why now? The computer is a three year old Compaq and is getting very "difficult" in its' old age - I've had it serviced , but it still keeps throwing glitches at me. Time to get a new one do you think? It's running Windows 7 Home/Office. Wish I could afford an Applemac! best regards and thanks, Gill aka Zooscat |

Hi Rui, Sorry for the delay in answering you - most impolite - apologies! Have discovered that the problem re e-mails is this; was originally connected to BT Broadband and had, until about three weeks ago, an e-mail connection (BT Yahoo) via that system. I had to dispense with landline and BT connection about three years ago because BT could not keep a reliable connection and internet and phone line kept breaking. Other people have got a good connection, but i am farther out on the pontoons (live on a barge) and the rise and fall and speed of the waves kept damaging the connection. So - dispensed with account and paid up and that was that. But - Yahoo kept on connecting. Now, three years later, BT seem to have realised I'm not paying them for anything and have suspended the account, but I cannot get rid of the link to Yahoo. tried getting to speak to BT Broadband sales, but very very difficult - being re routed via sub continents and neither sales person or I understand what the other is saying most of the time and then we get cut off! I shall persevere! Any idea how I can unravel my docs/pics files from BT and be able to send them from MSN if I really cant get hold of any info from BT? I've tried the internetBT broadband trouble shooter, but it requires the land line number and I haven't got one! Many thanks for your patience, Regards, Gill |

Hi Rui - I've fixed it! I modified the BT Yahoo a/c (after having No Success At All from discussions with BT ...) by setting up a new a/c with Yahoo and changing my user name and password. I've tried sending pics and docs as attachments to me and to friends and it seems to be working .... so far! Next adventure ... trying to upload pics to flikr! It only took me about three hours, two of which were in wrestling with BT communication systems ... Onward! Best wishes, Gill (Doubltless I will be back soon!) |

Well, I have uploaded six pics to Flikr ... now trying to add them to a post - with no success, because I cannot find the "Share this" icon on the flikr site... may need you to post for me after all! Please could you kindly send your e-mail address? Many thanks. Gill |
