I got through my first winter with Verona!!! she has been a good girl!!! im looking forward to giving her her first bath, evening walks around in the sunshine and having a bit of fun, its been a long old winter, first time for me in 10years having a horse to do, normally coming home from work and chilling in the warm, but not any more breaking icy water picking up frozen poo my fingers nearly falling off not seeing through fog and snow and wet, wellies falling of in the slugey mud, but we all all got through it, now let the fun begin.

Im loving this sunshine but cant help but worry that with no rain we will have another bad hay harvest and be paying massive prices again! |

One day at a time daf!! Let's just enjoy the sun for now. Worry about the hay much later. Actually it was partly the cold spring last year that did for the hay harvest. Because the grass didn't grow early on we couldn't get any hay before the rain set in. |
