I use it as a protective barrier for legs mixed with pig oil. Do a google search for natural horse supplies, I've used them quite a bit and are reasonable and reliable 8)

Not used it for manes, what it is supposed to do ?

not sure if youve come across fairy tale horses on the internet ? the book telling you how to get inches of mane growth a month etc.
someone posted a while back now that flower of sulphur was the secret to it as such, and promotes hair growth. im hoping haha

i give up now, so its my last try at it

Hiya Becky!

How's life with you and Bonkers?!

Yea I've used it my horse many, many years ago. Looong story, but he had a very severe and serious reaction to a snake bite and ended up with a large wound running the length of his neck. We were told to use it to promote hair growth on the scar. Can't say it made a huge amount of difference, but it was an unusual sort of thing!

If it's any use I know they sell it in Cornwall Farmers for around £8 for a huge tub! Assume they would stock it in other agri type stores.

Hope all good with you! Lotsa love to Lills xxx

Hi Becky - i heard the same thing as you with regards to it being used for mane growth - i got some from a seller on ebay

i read to mix it with vasaline and put it on the mane - it didnt work at all and made the mane very sticky/yukky and took ages for me to get it off

so i wouldnt recommend it if thats what you want it for - however i can recommend Megatrek :)
