Do any of you use them..? How do you get on with them?
Ozzy's saddle has been slipping to the right. When i got the saddler to check it he said his left shoulder is slightly bigger and that is tipping the saddle over to the right. I have it propped up at the back right hand corner at the moment with some foam pads. This has helped but not solved the problem completely.
I've read up on the Suber Pad and it sounds like it will do the job. I spoke to David Ahn (man who owns company) and he has kindly agreed to send me one on a months trial as he is so convinced that it will solve my problem.
My only worry is that it will make the saddle too tight across his shoulders / withers.
Hi, I have one of these. They are good if you want to use them under a saddle when the horse is changing shape. You need to sit the pad well up under the saddle to start with. It does look very thick to start with, but as you ride in it, it shakes down and fills the voids, at this point you would be advised to tighten your girth a little. You can get them new on a well known auction site.. check out if they are cheaper. Sometimes they come up second hand. They feel very stable on the horses back and certainly spread the weight more.
