can anyone recommend im assuming the cheaper one isnt as good but if its good enough for a beginner??? or should i stop being tight and get the £30.00 book
Just bought one from a well known online store starts with A and ends in mazon lol... but it werent much good for me at the moment "flight without wings" hardly any on in hand showing.
Have you got the book by Sharon Byford. It's an all round book but has really good sections about turnout and how to do a general stand up :) It's a really nice book.
LYNDILOU ur like my online mother always nudging me back into line lol.... i do mean that in a nice way!!! i know but it all helps... im sure u have a book or too lying around xx
I worked at Toskhara Arabians many moons ago and always dreamt of showing one of her mares. Christine gave me some brill tips, but this one has always stuck with me:
Before you even think of running with a horse - practice running around a menage (sand is the worst to run on but if you master that - you will fly on grass....!!!)
You may feel daft - but it really helps.
Its so rewarding doing it all yourself...I trained Mila myself and although she isnt professional trained and may not stand as perfect as the pro's horses, she still does what I intend for her to do and, she has always been placed high up the line (which is just the cherry on the cake) Go and watch the pro's, and get a feel for your filly too... each horse learns differently..... you cant back and brake a horse by reading a book... so it'll be the same for your in hand training.
