Hi everyone
Some of you may already have seen my earlier thread trying to trace my horse, Taos:
http://www.arabianlines.com/forum1/topic_new.asp?TOPIC_ID=43800
I had a message from a lady on another forum who, though she did not recognise him, told me of a stud that was operating in the area I am told he came from (if that makes sense!) at about the right time. It was called Blackrock Arabians and was at Crowan, near Hayle, and the owner was a Mr Alistair McLeod with a Polish stallion called Leopold (Dryl x Love-in-the-Mist). It is rather grasping at straws, but does anyone have any contact details for Mr McLeod or perhaps a photograph of Leopold?
I'd be most grateful for any help in my straw clutching efforts

Can't help you with a picture of Leopold, but if you follow the link below and choose the tiny photo icon at the top centre of the pedigree next to his name, there is a photo of Dryl.

Hi, Ive just seen this! I dont have any up to date contact details for Alaister but I did have Leopold for a while as a 3/4 yo. I had him to back and school and also race for a while. I also jumped him at Malvern in the Paolo Gucci SJ there. He was a great little horse -must be 23 or so now! I do know that Alaister had him gelded as he was loaning him to someone as a riding horse and it was easier for him that way.He jumped like a stag and had a really cheeky temperament but was rock solid in traffic and with anything spooky. |

Oooh...I'd love to see a pic if you can find it
He sounds so much like Taos... he jumps like a stag, is incredibly cheeky (he basically thinks he is a person) and is very good in traffic, though strangely very scared of reflections in puddles!
If anyone else who sees this has any other pics or knows anything about Alastair I'd still love to hear from you |
