When tomorrow starts without me, and I am not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me,
I know how much you love me as much as I love you,
And each time you think of me I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me please try to understand,
That Jesus came and called my name and took me by the hand.
He said my place is ready in heaven far above,
And that I have to leave behind all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away a tear fell from my eye,
For all my life I'd always thought it wasn't my time to die.
I had so much to live for and so much yet to do,
It seems almost impossible that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had.
If I could have stayed for just a little while,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realise that this could never be,
For emptiness and memories would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things that I'd miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you and when I did my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through Heaven's gate and felt so much at home,
As God looked down and smiled at me from his great golden throne.
He said "This is eternity, And all I've promised you,
Today your life on earth is past, but here it starts anew."
"I promise no tomorrow but today will always last,
And since each day's the same here there's no longing for the past."
So when tomorrow starts without me don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me I'm right here in your heart.

RIP Mummy Pat, still can't believe it has been two years today since you left. God bless xx

thanks Angel , you have just sent me into streams of tears, but good ones.
I wasn't going to put anything here because I know people come from other sites and mock as they have done before! but hey they are not worth worrying about . I know lots of people here remember my mum as mummypat , by her outrageously funny posts of jokes and she would be tickled pink to think they all remembered her .
I took a picture of her garden yesterday where I placed her favourite spring flowers.

Your mum would love that garden Lynda :)

As for other people....Be they from here or other sites, they really aren't worth it if they go so low as to mock you for remembering your Mum on the anniversary of her passing.

I will certainly not stand for any of it on this topic!!

You have a lovely day remembering all the good times you had and raise a glass to Mummy Pat from me by her lovely garden xxx

Thinking of you today, Lynda.

What was said was disgraceful, but just showed the culprits up in their true light, Mummy Pat was a breath of fresh air. And her garden looks lovely.

What a lovely verse as well Angel

Thinking of you today Lynda, I have yet to reach the first anniversary of suddenly losing my dear Dad, so I know what a huge hole is left behind. I cannot believe that anyone would write such spiteful things about such a personal loss.

Yes I too remember all too well of how the cheerleaders get to do and say what they liked on other forums, thankfully not here!

Thinking of you and everyone who has lost someone or animal precious. Enjoy each day...

aww thanks girls .
I have been out in Battle today having lunch with a friend, and we spoke of my mum with fondness, I felt so close just talking about her. ( hope I wasnt too boring ! )
I think thats why I shared my loss with you all because you knew her ( on the PC anyway) and by talking we hold onto them somehow.
I feel for all who have loved and lost their parents, because we were always their children and in each of us there is the child that cries for their mums and dads , I was lucky to have 64 years of unconditional love from my wonderful mum , thanks again.

One of the best things about AL is that there are so many people who sympathise and empathise and offer words of comfort. I suffered four bereavements in 16 months - first my father, then Jim the Cob and Auntie Jane within days of each other, (Auntie Jane was my godmother, who had been like a mother to me since my mother died many years ago)and finally Garnet. I took great comfort from all the posts on here about Jim and Garnet and still look back to those threads and re-read them even now. I loved reading about Mummy Pat and all her terrific jokes and really felt for you, Lyndilou, when you lost her. If we can't try to help each other at times of sadness, as well as celebrate together in the good times, what is the point?

As a Newbie I never read any of the posts, but one thing I know about is losing a parent at any age is the most painful thing, I lost my Dad eight years ago and I still cry if I watch his favourite westerns or hear his favourite music...I talk to him every day as I would have when he was here, I worry about boring my OH with endless tales as he didn't get to know him, he was my best friend as well as my Dad. One thing is for sure Lindylou nobody has the right to tell anyone not to remember their loved one whichever way they want and as much as they want! and anyone who did are complete and utter scum, in my opinion. That really is a beautiful rememberence garden.

Clearly the people who have said such hurtful things have never lost a parent Lynda. It does help to talk - especially to those who knew her so I can totally understand you sharing on here.

I tend to write poetry when something bad happens to me. I wrote a poem about my dad that went in his casket with him when we said our goodbyes. I have also written stuff about Diva when we were going through all the stress of her surgery that I might be brave enough to post one day Makes me sound about 12 years old though!

We all miss Mummypat. She was a very special lady - as is her lovely daughter. The garden is a lovely tribute to her. I cant think of a better way to remember a loved one than to have a special garden to sit in.

Big hugs

All our thoughts with you Lynda. Your mum will always be with you, in your heart - she'll never be further than a thought away.
Those other people who try to hurt you - well, they showed their true colours then, and aren't worth you worrying about.
Big hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
