Here is our lovely old boy Harry (Hazara Khan), he is on permanent loan but still kept at the same livery yard as we are at with our other lovely Arabs.
(Harkem x Flying Della)
He is about 87% Crabbet and the rest is Polish.
And Saffee (PSA Safeerah) who is 50% Crabbet 50% Russian, but also about 59% Crabbet. You can see her on the Russian thread as well

What effect do think it would have if there were classes for 50%+Crabbet blood .
Could be a good extra incentive to breeders and owners alike IMO |

Are crabbets also known as "Old English"? I'm not very clued up on the Arabian types and years ago when I was speaking to a non-arab owner and said I like crabbets, she said they're Old English...???
I love Rusleem. I remember seeing pictures of him when he was younger in "The Versatile Arabian" book and I thought wow!
I'm not quite sure what my lad is....mixture of alsorts I think haha!

Alliya is 100% Old English 94% crabbet
Masliya her baby is by a 100% crabbet stallion but she is not 100% old English due to one of her crabbet lines has a horse missing the old stud book and entering the new one so not all are but if i am wrong please tell me as i would like to know |

This is Roxaana (Nashaal x Roxyana, very old breeding). She is 97.26% with Old English.
The forst photo in my profile is Tamila(86.5%) with Ramak Gold (92.25%) at foot. He is in the 2nd photo and the 3rd one is Rimarli, Tamila's full brother who is no longer with us. |

| Alistair, I agree. The 75%+ classes need to be kept separate as otherwise its defeating the object of holding Crabbet classes but maybe have additional classes for 50 - 74.99% though I don't know how it could work as the Crabbet Organization are under a lot of pressure with heritage certificates as it is. A possibility could be if at least one parents percentage is known to be above 75%?? What do others think? |
