BTW not really kept up with which horses you have dismissed/narrowed it down to etc but happy for you to use Basky (CR Serbask) for a Relationship DNA test (about £30) if that's any help.
Hi, I am new to this and have only just read the posts about the Jabask horses. I own K Bask Legend (Max) (by Bo Jabask out of Just a Legend) and I cant believe how much he looks like Moldequine's mare. He is so similar its untrue i will post some pics of him when I upload them on the computer. I have owned Max since 2001 where we brought him off a man who kept him near us in the West Midlands he brought him to race and by the way of training they kept him in for 6 weeks and occasionally brought him out and ran him up and down then expected him to run a mile race. He came with his arab horse society passport but no papers. We managed to get in touch with the person who was first on his passport and he told us that he brought him at 18 months old from someone is Wales where the horses were out on the Welsh hills and were all in a sorry state and that he was no bigger than a large dog. I dont know how many horses he brought when he got Max. I am so upset to hear from all the info on the posts that many of these horses ended up going to the sale and many of them sold for meat luckily for Max he never went through the sales as he would most likely would of gone the same way as many of the others. I am glad to hear that the ones that was saved have fantasic homes and are well loved and looked after. I'm sorry that it doesnt really help with finding out who your mare is but i was so interested reading all the comments and have learnt so much about Max's past that I didnt think i would ever be able to find out.
