Me again! Is it essential for long boots to be black in ridden classes, I have some lovely De Niro boots which were a recent present however they are a very rich tan colour and would stand out a mile...is this not the "done thing"??
I would want to see Black boots - that is correct showring dress. However whilst it isnt technically correct if you had a hacking jacket on then you might get away with it. If it was a local show or unaffiliated then I wouldnt worry to much adn judges may be more forgiving; but affiliated you really want to present the correct look/aesthetics it is important adn part of showing.
I think Lynne Russell probably gets away with it because of who she is, correct dress attire always states black boots, unless for children showing in jodhpur boots then its brown or ox blood.
I would always wear black boots, it does look more aesthetically pleasing.
Are your boots like the ones Carl Hester wears on 'Carl Hester at Home' on H&C TV
"The daughter who wont lift a finger in the house is the same child who cycles madly off in the pouring rain to spend all morning mucking out a stable."
"All horses deserve to be loved by at least one little girl during their life"
Definately black boots for ridden showing, i show a pba/hack and this is the coreect atire. A friend wears brown but this is in the workers. Hope this helps :-)
