just wondered after reading all the threads on lami cases anyone got cases of rainscald or mudfever ?

just that my guy came down with rainscald a few weeks back so treated it and put his combo rug on the yesterday he came down with mudfever now being treated with antibiotics etc but wondered if many have come down with this too

meant to say never suffered with either before in all the years ive had him : (

Our mudfever prone gelding has been fine so far this year, watching him closely because it has been so muddy since the big thaw and we are on clay, he has also had something similar to rainscald (despite being rugged) in the past so obviously susceptical to these sort of infections, so far so good. Hope your lad recovers quickly.

ive moved them all to the top field now just so strange he has never suffered before !

he had a standard rug on so only affected part was his neck then i put his combo on but never thought he would get mudfever too fingers x it will improve quickly

Mine also not affected by mud fever or rain scald this year. Could it have something to do with the cold weather and the killing off of some sort of virus or bug?

Mine hasn't got it now since the thaw took place prior too that mags was booted up but like I said touch wood ok now, bring on the summer can't wait yard owner only said yesterday 14wks till can b turned out allay and night if we want too ,mags so much happier in himself when out all the time sorry for the waffling .
