We had to say goodbye to this beautiful boy on Tuesday. He was taken into the vets with colic and it proved to be a large tumour in his small intestine. I'm so sorry for my friend Stef, his owner. He was her baby, and "my perfect horse". At rising 2 he was 15 hands, we thought he'd stop growing at around 15' 3". She was looking forward to having him shown this year, and afterwards starting to prepare him for ridden. He had the superb Russian movement of his dam with the prettiness of his Ansata sire and a stunning head that just kept drying out. He was a happy boy, living with a filly his own age in a huge paddock and being stabled next to each other at night in winter. Stef had a fantastic bond with him, she could do anything with him in the field and stable with no head collar and although he was always a feisty young man, she let him be who he was.
Ode to Pan
In your time No words or rhyme can describe. You were wild and free a symphony that will be remembered. Hopes and dreams now a memory never to be. Except as an expression of beauty. Run free Sweet Pan.

How very sad....so difficult to come to terms with at any age but when they are so young...It is so unfair.
RIP Pan. |

So sorry to hear of your friend's loss. To lose them at any age is hard, but when they are still babies and have their lives in front of them, it seems harder. RIP PS Pandemonium |
