Hi all thanks for reading my post, would like to know your opinion on how tall my filly will grow. She is almost 10 months and measures a good 12.3 at the wither area and well over 13 hands at croup. Dad was 15.3 tb and mum was 14.2 pba, any ideas? x

hi my lad is 7 months old and is 13 hh at withers and 13.2 at croup, he was from a 15hh arab dad and a 14.2 pba mum.. he seems to be growing by the day.. but then he had a poor start and is now gaining a bit of weight.. so hopefully he will make over 15 hh ...deb |

Good luck with your boy zebedeedeb, sounds like you will have a large hack he seems to be doing very well! My filly was a small foal I think but has always been a steady grower, however she does seem very hungry at the moment so perhaps we will have a growth spurt soon! x |

Wow! H Tobago foal and Rokkademus are very big! Perhaps she will do a lot of growing as a yearling, tried the middle of the knee to coronet measurement and its only about 14 inches, I think she is probably too young for that to work as her cannon bones will still grow x |

I have a 19 month old gelding who is 14.1hh at the moment. His mother is 14.3hh and dad is 15hh. All of his siblings have grown to 15.2hh+ so it would appear that the size of mum and dad doesn't have a huge impact on babies size!! Gentetics from further back certainly play a role, as my boy's sire has come from a line of big arabs, but isn't that large himself, although does throw big foals.
Whatever size your girlie grows to, she'll be perfect and you'll have lots of fun with her xx |

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone, can those who have the 19 month old foals remember how tall they were at 10 months or 12 months? x |
