hi can anyone help.. i own a deep chestnut( almost liver)colt who is reg 67% and would like to show inhand in the spring.he will be a yearling... i dont know what to wear and also for him, and would i need to plait him? this is him in my sig pics.. any help would be great ,,,deb

Aww what a sweetie, yes you should plait up. not to sure with what you should wear to show though hun, as i have pure breds that i show in hand. There a helpful friendly bunch on here though so im sure you will get sorted. Good luck xxxxx |

yes he sure is ,, i bought him from the new forest sales in nov.. didnt realise he was reg. let alone one of mareschals grandsons.. what a fabulous bonus...untouched 6 weeks ago now already so trusting, he followed me into my trailer today, natural horsemanship is a must for all us horse owners... it really works.. i have 2 pba who i use it on who can prove it!!!! |

If you look on Where are they now forum, Aldwych Arabesque thread, there is a photo of me showing a PBA which BabsR (who knows all there is to know about showing Anglos and part breds) was kind enough to use as an illustration when answering this question for someone last year. I often wore cream or beige trousers which are probably better with bays and liver chestnuts. Please PM me if you want to - always happy to help but don't want to look pushy . |

Cream/beige trousers with dark legs, dark trousers with white legs, smart shirt & tie, hacking jacket (tweed, gloves and a show cane - most important a BIG smile - enjoy and remember the camera |
