Hi all, Me and Tao went to our first showjumping competition last night, he was such a well behaved boy! The only filler he spooked at was the very first one, he really wasnt sure about going over it.... then he popped it from a standstill and once he'd realised nothing was going to jump out and eat him, he really got into the swing of it and enjoyed himself! I tried to keep it all very relaxed and calm and in the first class I trotted him round most of it...the jumps were a tiny weeny 1'6 - 1'9 in class 1, and in the 2nd class they were 2'0 - 2'3!! He started getting the swing of it in the 2nd one (see video posted below!) I am very proud to say we got 3rd place in our first class (out of 4 hehe) and a brilliant 2nd out of 13(!) in our 2nd class! Sian xx
P.S First time Ive posted a video so may need some help on how to do it if this doesnt work...have had to post a link to my Facebook page instead, sorry....

Well done! He looks to be enjoying himself. One day I will get my mare jumping. She's only jumped on the lunge so far. |
