Found out that Silver Moon was owned by Mrs D Fitzroy from Harewood, Leeds. She also owned another sibling bred by Mrs Nicholson:-
Sunflower III, mare,Naseel X Silver Leaf, foaled Feb 28th 1950.
another sister:-
Sunbonnet, bay mare, 1951,again , Naseel X Silver Leaf, bred by Mrs Nicholson. Owned by a Mrs Hayes.

Hi Wendy & Foilks... Thanks for the imput. I'm still looking for more info about Silver Leaf, born around 1939 -1941, possible with Mrs Nicholson at Kells, and possible a Connamara mare. Some info says that members of this family and offsprings, is recorded in the Part Bred Arab Register Vol.V, can anyone with Vol.5 the rarest of the olf PBAR's please have a look and tell us what it says about Silver Leaf and Silver Moon.
Just to confuse things, I am also looking for a mare called Silver Leaf from around the turn of the century, say 1900 - 1920 ish.poss with Polo Poiny blood...so if anyone has anything on this one, I'd be pleased to have you point me in the right direction.
