The saga of the Grand Vet continued until today, when, having threatened him with a complaint under "professional misconduct" to the RCVS (he had had the cheek to send me a "personal disclaimer" letter, which he said I had to sign before he would release the vet cert to me - even though I had paid for it six weeks ago!) he actually sent the vet cert which I have sent to the insurers! I did ring the RCVS and they were very happy to begin the complaints procedure after I told them what had happened Aragon is looking much better and has started eating up more hay now his teeth are sorted and is having a fun time being lunged lightly up and down the school and long lining too. I took him for a longish walk in the woods on Sunday and he was really interested in all the goings on that we met on the way. I usually feel a bit anxious leading a horse (yes, bridle, lunge rein, hat, gloves, boots etc plus hi viz for me and him) as I find them easier to manage from on top - he was sooo good and a real treat to be around. Farrier on Saturday, and then sorted for everything - vaccs, teeth, feet, diet, handling and general polishing, bit of looking round the countryside on long reins/lunge line and roll on Jan/Feb when we can hopefully begin some light ridden work. He's beginning to look soo like his father. My friend Jeannie the photographer is abroad at the moment, but we have a photo session booked for 2nd week in Dec and will post the results then and you can judge for yourselves!

Excellent for getting the vet cert, and well done for reporting him to the RCVS - very suspect behaviour on his part.
So glad that Aragon continues to improve in condition, and is such a star behaviour wise - can't wait to see a new set of photos when they arrive |
