Thinking of smaller sport horses.....14.1hh

Breeding = TB, Arab & Shetland? In what proportions?

Connemara x is very popular and successful - I wouldn't have thought you'd have needed Shetland in there.

The Shetland in there is American Shetland I believe - so a very different animal from what we think of! More like a Hackney pony.

Teddy was actually rumoured to be smaller than 14.0 because it caused a problem when he was short listed for the US Olympic team. Under FEI regulations, he had to be over 14.1 to compete at 3* events.

There are some wonderful videos of him on YouTube and is was a massive, massive loss when he had to be PTS.

Karen and Teddy were magical to watch and they won so many hearts.

He was an awe inspiring little horse - I couldn't believe it when he was PTS.

Keren, if you're right about the American Shetland bit of his breeding it would make sense to me - could never quite get my head around the idea of what we regard as a Shetland as part of his breeding (unless it was accidental).
