Posting on behalf of a friend ...She has been told by the AHS that if she wanted a Duplicate registration certificate and a passport for her horse it's going to cost her £300 ....Can never remember it being this much..Do any of you know how much it is and if this is right..

according to their website its £75. Unless they need to dna test the horse, but that would only be about £50 or so. Still a lot of money for a reprint though if you ask me.

I've lost just the passport for one of my mares in my move & I was told it's going to cost me £75 & that's just for the passport. She is one of my brood mares so she is already dna & parentage tested & have all her markings on file so can't see how they can charge so much. I was told that if I find the original & send the copy back then they will reimburse me £25.

We are also wonderinf why its costing so much...was also told it would cost £ 300 to get registered over there! Is this right??..papers and all in orden. Excellent question Maryann

Does it really cost the AHS £300 to do a Duplicate passport and registration certificate..If the AHS are asking £300 i think there are going to be alot of horses without they AHS paper work...

£75 for a new certificate, and they will refund £25 if you find the old one. I sent for mine 10 days ago, and my duplicate arrived on Friday
