is going eventing next year as part of Team Templars Eventing???? Another pure bred and another making the transition from showing world to performance ridden - proving it is possible.
Here's a clue.......
And here he is in his best bib and tucker strutting his stuff in the show ring.....
introducing....
Phaaraoh (BNC Aazari x BNC Pjatokova)
Massive, massive thanks to Michelle, Hugh and Amber for letting us have this wonderful horse.
We spotted him a couple of months ago and were blown away by him - not only his looks and his impeccable breeding but by the sheer joie de vivre and the way he uses his body. Beauty, talent and spirit - ideal
He'll be joining our pure Anglo gelding - also with links to Phoenix Arabians - the 16.2 Against All Odds by the Premium stallion Djammal out of the sister of Miners Frolic. A young horse with the most amazing bred in the purple pedigree.
So, 2 new members of the eventing team (to join the 16.3 French Anglo Heron de la Forge, now fully recovered from his injury; the 15.2 pure bred stallion Templars Orchestral Pearl, Harley; and the thoroughbred 16.2 gelding Autumn Dancer, Harry) with the other "newbie" Vladimier H, the Selle Francais bred KWPN 17.2 gelding (the one with the dash of Arabian!!)
And more "new" news!!!
We are absolutely thrilled and humbled to join the ranks of pure Anglo breeders.
Our new Anglo breeding programme is confirmed with 2 pure Anglo foals due next year.
Fistly, Harley's sister (the glamorous Templars Cultured Pearl) a Silvern Sceptre daughter out of Harley's 100% Crabbet dam, is due next year to the TB Stallion Calcutta. Conceived during the World Cup - the foal can only have one name - Vindaloo!!!!
Secondly, our black Egyptian x Old English mare Oakthwaite Shamtar is in foal to Harry's sire, the TB stallion Prince of Darkness. So, not only a pure Anglo babe but also a baby bro or sis for Harry.
And - another pure Anglo to join us in the very near future - more details once she's here safely.
Can't believe we'll have 4 pure Anglos - 2 babies, one youngster out eventing and one as a lady in waiting!
So, so happy and excited.

Congratulations! You have one hell of a horse there and he couldn't wish for a better home. We have his 2 year old brother (still a colt), Phantom (by Azteq), who is absolutely gorgeous too! Wishing you lots of luck for the future. |

Rachelle, Evie and Team Templars. what a wonderful post... so full of positive good news....and what a team, flying the flag for pure Arab and pure Anglos in the very competitive world of Eventing
WOW your new boy....simply stunning, cant wait to see him out there...can see jaws dropping as he flies around the event course....such beauty and grace AND amazing talent, with an awesome rider making it all look so effortless. What a combination
Personally for myself, so delighted that Templars are now also breeding Pure Anglos, whom we know will be out there, flying the INTERNATIONAL flag for British Bred home produced Anglos, in future decades with the amazing EVIE in the saddle. Go girl Go!!!

Huge congrats guys! I just love this horse - whenever we go down to Hugh and Michelle's we always admire him. He is such an athlete but pretty with it.
As my mum mentioned earlier, we have his 2 yr old brother so will be particulary keen to see how he gets on. Keep us posted on his progress. Liv |

I have always admired this horse( I like a lot of Aazari's stock) - he is completely stunning! If I saw him in the showring in the flesh I think he would take my breath away. What a boy - you lucky thing!!!!
Lovely post, wishing you the best of luck for the future.
I love Anglos and Partbreds too - trying to sell my little welsh mare to make room for a part bred baby to come and join us! More details when she hopefully joins us..! |

What an absolutely STUNNING horse, so relaxed yet playful. Good luck to you all with him and all your other horses in Team Templars, I look forward to your posts next season !! I would also like to say what beautiful and empathetic handling in the second video of this lovely horse, so well done to this handler (as I don't go to shows I have no idea who he is, so apologies for the ignorance!!). |
