Daddy is a horse named Shangrala Ibn Sidu. The problem I'm faced with is do I place R back in foal and to whom? If I go commercial then who do I choose? Egbert suggests a Skowronek sire line horse or go commercial as R is so well bred and put together she should come up with the goods. WH justice semen is available to me etc. The only problem is Perth ,WA is at the bottom of a black hole, and what return would I get as I can't accumulate horses willy nilly without acerage. I have three weeks to decide. Attilio |

YES , I'm Very happy with her and keen to get her home to my cousins place, but he has a herd of cows in Rusleema's paddock to mow the grass down, and I know R is very pushy with cattle under normal circumstances so it's softly softly until they've gone. I've decided to call her RUSLEEMA'S ASIL ROSE so I hope she develops properly. I was hoping for a little " RAKTHA" (colt) as the filly is 80% or so Crabbet, but she'll do for now I guess. |

If you can go with Justice, do it ! you will have an amazing foal, I have been lucky to have met some of the horses in his sire line close up , Magnum Psyche , and Sasaki, both great horses with presence to burn ! I wish I could have helped you with Charismma Semen but sadly its not an option, he has a wonderful skowronek sire line through Naziri, as you know, and I am sure Gari would have told you.( by the way I spoke to her on the phone just yesterday, she is getting ready to move to Arizona) I have used WH Justice and his son Justified on my Charismma girls and I can vouch for the quality that is now standing in my yard |

Attilio she is absolutely super! She looks a very strong little filly, and Rusleema looks like she has taken to Motherhood exceptionally. Congratulations x |

Unfortunately, the sad case is that people can't see the horse for the bloodlines. Therefore I'm going to give WH Justice a shot. I'm sure there are many good stallions out there that could be used, but what would you get for the foal if you placed it on the market; and you can't keep them all. So today "Why keep a Stallion"? It's a little early, but I feel Rusleema is rather strong in her characteristics , and I believe she is good where Justice is weak. She is very typy and so is he. So I'll ask for a breedjng contract. In the meantime I'll halter break the filly. |

Thanks Mogwai. Do you make it a habit to swab your mare after foaling if every thing appears OK? She has been through the foal heat, and I would like to AI her nexttime she comes in. |

There is no such thing as the perfect horse , but a good producer is a good producer, and Justice has proved himself over and over , sure he is not perfect, but he does shout Arabian Type and he does pass it on so good luck with your future foal I am sure it will be a stunner ps , yes get your mare swabbed , make sure she is clean and she will take easier |

Just wrote out point by point critique on this filly and liked it so much, I might just keep her. I think overall she is better than her mum and I think that's good considering the amount of grey coming out in her coat, especially on her head. I saw her today and of course I had left my camera home. I'm trying to tee up a pregnancy test for her mum. If I can do it tomorrow I'll make sure I get some up to date picts .In the meantime here are some taken 6wks ago.

Yes Debs I first noticed him as a foal, and I downloaded a pict of him from Rusleem's facebook site. There seems to be a trickle of Rusleem progeny shown on this site. One in particular I liked was a grey mare with a Spearmint filly at foot. I resist the temptation to buy a colt because there are so many stallions to choose from. But after this years fiasco with frozen AI, and the vet bills I will have to give it some thought. I suppose it's like the answer a woman would give about trying again after childbirth--NEVER. Amnesia soon sets in. Don't add to your troubles; my life was running smooth until I bought Rusleema.--NEVER again |

Wow Attilio, she is looking beautiful ! You must be VERY pleased ! Shame Rusleema isn't in foal - its always so disappointing having to wait another year, especially when they produce babies like that
Also thankyou to you and Debs for your kind comments about my Rusleem colt Baariq - he is just getting better and better and I can't wait for his first show in May ! His Mum is going back to Rusleem again this year under strict instructions to produce an identical filly this time, so I can keep her !
