Who do you use? I am in Preston area and she is due a check up, so I'm looking for someone well known who I can trust. What qualifications should they have? Do they just have to be a dental technician or is there another qualification? Quite confused :-S.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

Technically anyone can practice being an equine dental technician having attended very little 'training', but to be fully assured of getting someone who has had the correct training, examination, ongoing training and who is fully insured, you want to go with an EDT who is a member of the British Association of Equine Dental Technicians (BAEDT). All their members have taken the BEVA/BVDA Equine Dental Technicians exam. Only those who have undergone the training and passed the exam can then be members of the BAEDT. If you PM me I can send you website details.
I used to use Mark Thorne, really good, kind too. Has his own horses. Only reason I can no longer have him ( I would ) is that he wont come down to me as too long a distance he his based in the lakes. Google him.
Thanks everyone, I have had her done now and they were great with her (even though she played up and bit down on the rasp so they couldn't move it, lol). All done for 6 months :-)
