Hi
I have my 4yr old Arab in a Barefoot treeless saddle, he seems to like it but i can't get used to it at all.
Does anyone have any experience in the Trekker Endurance saddles? or the Easytrek?
Any advice welcome!

I am a treeless convert!! Spent more than was reasonable on treed saddles and ended up with crooked, restricted horses with muscle wastage over backs. In desperation took the treed route when I could literally find nothing to fit one of my boys. Now have 3 happy horses who all go a lot better and my back lady who now only has too visit when Sir Trips a Lot manages to fall over his own feet (though even that has reduced with the treeless saddle) agrees all their backs are now super. I had to try several before I found one which suited me and the boys. Tried Barefoot, Torsion, Freeform but either they or I didn't like them. In the end plumped for a total solution energist (equivalent to ansur classic) which are ridiculously expensive new but not so bad when purchased off that well known site. They are very close contact but I love the fact that I can feel what their back is doing and now feel as though I'm getting on a plank of wood when I use a treeless. I either tried friends or payed to trial when looking for the right one. One good thing with arabs is they tell you loud and clear what they do and don't like. Another big advantage with treeless is as grow and change shape saddle still fits. Hope I don't sound too fanatical but for me and my boys going treeless was a revelation.

Sorry got my treed and treeless mixed up. Have been up since 3.30 this morning so that's my excuse but hopefully you get the gist. Treeless all the way.

I too had struggled with getting a treed saddle to fit, without paying ridiculous money for my ever changing shape mare! So i invested in a Trekker, and i will never look back! Its soooo comfortable and its lovely feeling every movement of my horse x

Thanks Girls.
I have physio on Sunday to both my boys so will see what she says.

Jo....Is your Trekker the old version or new one? Does the old one have adjustable pommel handle? He is a "wide" fit. There is one on that "well known site" but not sure if it's adjustable.

Jill..... i got your reply too thanks. He started in Trig's old Wintec GP which is now too small, then Disco's old Wintec Wide, now too nippy at the shoulder (i found out to my cost...bruised ribs), tried a Jill Thomas which was comfy for me but too narrow for him. Arghh don't know what to do!

Hi
Bringing this back up as still looking!
Has anyone got experience of the Thorowgood T4 Endurance saddle?
my boy has short back, medium wither and a huge shoulder, surely he can't be that hard to fit??!!
The Thorowgood cob saddle wasn't too bad on his back and gullet but a bit low on his wither for my liking. Might try the Thorowgood Dressage too.
