My heart is breaking. Sihrabba was put to sleep this morning following a short illness. His blood results showed that there was nothing more that could be done for him, so I had no choice but to let him go.
He was with me for 26 of his 29 years, the ultimate riding and competition horse and gentle friend.
Here is a selection of photos from a truly great time over many many years, that seems right now to be but a moment gone.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. It is a heartbreaking time for you although how wonderful it is that you shared 26 years together. Unfortunately I cannot see the photos but I am sure I remember seeing lovely pics of his in some of the AHS magazines. RIP Sihrabba. |

Oh no, I am so sorry.
Looking at the photos and particularly into his eye, I can't even face trying to imagine the size of the hole. Sorry.

The hole they leave when they go is an enormous one, I know only too well having lost two lifelong friends in recent years. There is nothing anyone can say to take away the pain you are feeling right now, but I promise you that one day you will be able to look back and remember all those happy times you shared, and there must be so many of them, and there will be a smile on your face again. He was one of the very lucky ones who had his "own" person for most of his long life, and again, I know the depth of the relationship you must have shared together.
What a beautiful boy he was, he has the Ben Rabba look stamped all over him. RIP beautiful man. |

What a lucky horse he was, it is obvious he was loved and secure all his life. And stunningly handsome too. Hopefully in time the happy memories will ease your pain. |
