I am feeling very upset, Baz has suffered an injury on Sunday night, looks like a kick but wound also has a puncture that has caused vain damage. He should be ok Vet coming later today to check bandage wound etc.

I am double checking the status with the stable,if ok we had ours booked Friday - Monday so this may be ok to sell on?

I am going to try come anyway but all depends on what care Baz will need.

This was going to be our big In-hand retirement party so has been a huge blow.

Should i keep Baz in a paddock on his own but next to others? he just doesn't seem to get out of the way when the other two geldings are playing, should i forget showing altogether so many what ifs

Aww what a shame! Poor Baz, i hope its nothing too serious. They always manage to find a way to break themselves just before a big party

Sorry to hear Baz has injured himselfit is so annoying when you have a big show all booked and paid for but you have next year, so don't worry too much I am sure you can get some money back for the stable, we advertised ours on here last year for the SEAHG show at Hickstead and we managed to get someone to take it. I know how you feel don't be too sad.

After Vet came last night, he is treating it as a green stick? fracture not x rayed yet he said it would not show up for a week or so? Poor Baz i have never seen him lame before even with his last nasty wounds he stayed sound..Positive note wound looked good.

It might be too swollen to xray - when Flash broke his leg, they had to wait for a few days before they could confirm it. Poor lad! Glad the wound is looking good. A fracture isnt the end of the world, try not to worry too much x
