Thank you everyone for your very kind and encouraging words!!!
it looked as though he developed a veryyy small splint about the size of a pea (you can't see it just feel it) about 2 weeks ago so just gave him time off and the other night got him in from the field and basically the whole leg around the splint was completely swollen HUGE, went right round the front of the leg and round to the out side
lucky went down over night and he wasn't at all lame or anything
but I am taking him to have scans ect just to make sure everything is okay and find out when i can ride ect
Sounds like nothing but I was absolutely devistated at the time and was so so upset, that horse is my absolute world and anything wrong with him I just get so so very upset and worried
he's got his friend now though my mini shetty was delivered about a couple of hours ago and he adores him
just fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow and everythings fine!!!

Dont splints swell up before they go hard (my horse's started as a soft swelling)? Anyway hope its not serious. I know how worrying it is though. |
