Just thought I would update you on how Seren is coming along. She is having a really good season so far and I am really proud of her. I have had her to six shows and we have won 13 rosettes - 2 of which are champions along with two lovely trophies. Just a pity we have to hand them back next year!
In between all this we have had time to get her backed! At the moment we are just walking around the yard. Really hoping by the end of the year we are able to get some lessons and just dot around until next summer. She seems to really enjoy it and it's great fun starting a baby again and so rewarding doing it myself.
Then back in June Seren got a wee baby to play with! The lovely Splash of Sylvada came to live with us from Amy Southworth. It is lovely to have a foal running around again and I am so pleased with him. He is going to be huge! Currently he is standing at 13hh and is almost 6months. He has the most lovely nature and loves being around you. I can't wait to get him out showing next year.
Hope the pics work as flickr has changed their site and I am being a thicko not sure how to work it yet!
Well done Seren is such a lovely looking horse and looks so chilled, and the youngster looks great with a nice kind eye. Good luck with them I sure successful times lay ahead. Alison
I had the pleasure of meeting you both at the Group Show and the bond you have with this lovely mare is obvious for all to see. Nice to see that you are having so much fun with her (and the new foalie!).
Wouldn't be too concerned about handing the trophies back... I am sure there will be more to take their place!!
Xsara - can you put up a pic? - would love to see Kiara!
Sandra I remember you - your daughter had some lovely pics! We are coming down to the Grand Slam in September if you are going we will see you there. I have heard the judge is more in to part breds as the classes have unfortunately been amalgamated. However I enjoy showing her so much it hasnt put me off. I will just have to try change her mind once she see's Seren!
she is very affectionate as well not a bad bone in her body. She is cheeky though but she is so calm and takes everything in her stride and would never bite or kick. Loves people and I think she will be brill when the time comes to back her hopefully next spring
Seren has certainly found a dream home, I'm so happy for her. Love the pics, she's always been a special girl so not surprised that she's won two Ch's, many more to come in the future I'm sure I would love to run up and hug her for being such a good girl in the ridden pic Well done
All the best with the new foal too he looks very sweet.
