But can't complain as I've had a great time riding and bringing Polka on over the summer. She's really been such a wee shining star and today she went on her first solo hack, she did the gates and everything She was just brilliant and I'm so, so proud of her.
I've introduced the bit but no reins yet as I'm still using the halter on top. But she is so quiet and happy with it in her mouth.
Just need to do some ground work with the bit and reins to let her feel the contact in her mouth. I can't believe this but I've booked us a ridden place in a Perry Wood clinic at the beginning of September! Our first ever clinic! Eek!
Happy in the bit
This was out on a hack at the end of the week. We had a special visitor and I took the opportunity to get her and Inka out together! As you can see another 'mad' arab is out and about!
Brilliant, wonderful...What a smashing girl she is, and a fantastic relaxed and happy start to her ridden career. Tough going back to work, but how wonderful you've acheived so much over the break. I love Perry Wood, but never been lucky enough to go to a clinic, I'm sure you'll have great fun and learn loads. Fantastic x
Well done Fee she is looking great. My mum is back to work tomorrow to - she is depute head. Some of the things you teachers have to put up with you deserve your hols!
