Chris and I were talking the other night about the Princess Muna class... and I wondered what the current record was for the most family members?

I think, but I'm not sure, that there is a limit on how many you can show. I think it's no more than the foundation mare plus 5 members from different generations (with their foals at foot if applicable because foals don't count towards the numbers) but the limits should be in the schedule |

Kim,
a) The foundation mare b) Pure Bred Arab daughters of the foundation mare c) Pure Bred produce (male and female) of those daughters d) Further generations of Pure Bred Arab produce, great grand-daughters, great grand-sons, etc. provided that they descend directly through the female line.
The group shall consist of no less than three and no more than five horses.

It was lovely to see Aziza and her family, sad that there was such a low turnout though. I particularly wanted to see Balenina |

I was looking forward to Wipera and her family. Aziza and her babies were gorgeous though |

Tzarina I heard Balenina didn't go in the end what a shame, I am lucky to have seen her several times as she is Arabi's Mum. there is a lovely picture of her with Arabi as a foal on the flicking banner at the top of the home page on there web site, have a look if you get a chance. All the pictures are great on there web site Crispin is a very good photographer he sent me some lovely ones of Arabi he took at a show a few years ago.

Cor I remember the days when you would always have 4 or 5 family groups battling it out for the Muna saddle <old gimmer alert >. How sad but understandable I guess with not so many keeping generations of horses now and yes expensive and tricky to get them all together if they are at all corners of the country. Tis a shame though as it used to be one of the real highlights of the show.
I particularly remember Silverdales with a long row of exquisite grey horses, Sasza heading them up - gorgeous ! |
