Didn't do anything really worth talking about, but it was lovely weather and I had a great time with my girls
Sorry more pics but not sleeping this time! I do work them, honestly! But it's kinda hard getting pics or videos of them when it's just me. I will try to get some over the summer though.
Rode Po and Polka's ridden work is coming on well, really pleased with her. Inka is getting continued groundwork as I try to help her metamorphosise from a baby rhino into a ballerina!

My little herd
What did you all get up to this weekend?

Besides melting in the heat?
Spent the day yesterday with Kelly (thank you Kelly!), checking out the accommodation on the Mary Townley Loop, which we are planning to do at the beginning of September. Now feeling a mixture of excitement and apprehension . Just hope I can get myself and the neddy fit enough in time (and praying she will load ok - need to practice that one!!) Initially, the distances didn't seem too bad, but having seen some of the terrain we'll be negotiating (gulp!), it's going to be quite tough

Always love seeing pics of your girlies Fee, such a happy little herd (are you SURE you don't want to adopt me & Sunny!? ) I've had a very productive weekend blitzing my stable..jet washed & painted. Its so lovely I made him sleep in his holiday stable for one more night so I could savour the lovely clean view for one more day. Back to poopy stains tomorrow I bet |

How is Po doing Fee?? Did you start her on any of the herbal tonics?
I rode Mush this weekend for the first time in nearly four weeks Only in the school, but as it's indoors it was lovely and cool in the hot weather He's not had a narcoleptic episode in two weeks now, since we started with the herbs, so I'm hoping that means we're on the right track and as soon as the valerian kicks in I'll start hacking out as well and we'll then see how it goes.
Spent a gorgeous Friday afternoon at the Hickstead derby with arachnid, enjoying lots of retail therapy, ice cream, some showing and a teeny bit of jumping. |

Thank you everyone for listening to me tell you about nothing but the fun I have with my girls and the pics, I just love them so much
Anne, hols start Wednesday pm!!
Shah Po is still the same, maybe not sleep falling as much, but I do see her do it every day still Still really worried about her and not sure about anything anymore. Hols start soon, going to stable her and see what that brings.
Glad you all had a great weekend too, here's hoping this weather lasts!

ETA - Sorry in a rush at lunchtime and trying to post Claire and Honey come on up!! No problem I have a feral cat who has decided to move in and my first pair of swallows which I was so hoping for (stables just built and was afraid I wouldn't get any in the first year) and now they have 5 gorgeous babies (not great combo with the cat though! )

Well done Natascha..!
Sounds like you all had fun.
I rode Mila (first time in 8 weeks)I rode her in the school on Saturday - Walter got some nice piccys of us (thanks Walter) and Liz ad I went for a little hack on Sunday. It was very first ''proper'' hack and she was an angel, apart from a few impatience bunny rears and bucks!! I have ridden Mila bareback for the past 12 months so I now have a sticky bum..! Liz was riding Mila's mum, Minnie. We will venture further afield next time.
I also got mila through the trailer, albeit the side ramp- but she went in..!!!!!! yaaaaaaay!!! She went in once in the afternoon (side ramp with no force) but then she wouldn't go up the back ramp- even with no partition. So I starting feeling a little down, and wondering if I'd ever be able to get her in. I turned her out for a few hours, bought her in for her tea, then tried again in the evening. I took her for a walk in the dually.. we did stop start stoop start (have done this form when she was a yearling, she will always stop when I do, without having to ask) I got her to do trot to halt trot to halt, which she picked up very well,, and us played with her for 30 mins out of the farm. On the way back home I wasn't planning on doing any more with the trailer but as all ramps were down,I treid the side ramp again, she walked up the ramp.. had a liitle sniff.. then proceeding into the trailer. I then walked her off and into her stable. I was soooooooooooooooooooo chuffed with her!!!
I then did the same with Liz and Walters VA Maymunah... she has never been through the trailer either, she was a bit hesitant but climned in, stood for a well done pat and then exited very gracefully!!!! Now I knew she'd be a bit warey of coming out as all new horses are... I stood to the side and gave her all the rope, she literally leaped the entire length of the side ramp..!!!! hehe bless her. she went straight back to her stable with a carrot waiting
I love love love working with the youngsters and teaching them all new things. It's the best feeling when they do something, even something as little as walking down the road and back on their own. I love it |
