lol i know she started doing it last summer, she could be down for about five mins at a time and you have to just laugh at her, last night i just happened to have the camera. My old labrador does exactly the same but shes got an allergy to grass and used to have a really inflammed belly. |

brilliant! some of our pregnant mares do that when they are too large to reach around for a nibble, and no human in the vacinity to demand a belly rub from! We have 1 adult gelding whe does it every day - oddly he also did such things as a foal, would place front legs over the XC jumps and scratch his belly along the top of the jump. Then he got too big (or my jums too small)!! |

Oooohhh, that hit the spot! My first horse, a coloured TBx used to scratch his tummy like that. The look of bliss on his face was wonderful. A couple of times, people came to the YO in a panic, saying that Shiloh had broken his leg and couldn't get up - I always used to go and check but he'd just been scratching!
