Need to try a stable mirror Baz is getting upset when i bring him up and non of the other horses are up, he is fine if his neighbours are in.
Can anyone pm a supplier with a jolly happy wallet price tag?

sorry don't know of one with such a price tag and the cheaper versions are def not as good as the famous one! I have one - it's huge and has been hanging for 5 years. It is slightly marked where the horse in the mirror gets "groomed" but polishes up well. |

I bought the acrylic type(like are used in caravans) . It came in a roll. Fixed it to a solid wall in stable and he loves it. I bought it as he had to box rested for months due to tendon injury. He used to scream his head off for his 'friend' if I just put him in another stable while I mucked out. If he had rug on and then took it off, he seemed to think was a different horse next to him. Soo funny. Found supplier thro search engine, can't remember offhand name of company. Was A LOT cheaper than some advertised and does the same job. |

Well don't use Stable-mirrors.co.uk - they take your money via the website, but don't appeat to be trading anymore. No contact, no email reply and no mirror. The phone number doesn't work either... I got my money back via paypal, but the website is still up and running.
I bought one ebay next. It was a good price but arrived poorly packaged and cracked. The company were very good and sent me another free of charge. Put them both up - Pip loved hers and it keeps her company. Maya hated it (She's a moody mare!) and hated having this 'other horse' invading her space. She flew at it with her teeth bared so much she cracked and scratched it, and spent the rest of the time kicking the stable walls in the direction of the mirror! Have taken hers down now and peace is restored, though she still has the occasional snarl at the space where it was, just in case it might be thinking of coming back! |

I would also suggest you avoid stable-mirrors.co.uk, took some serious threats to get ours out of them, they will take your money and in my case paypal wouldn't pay back!! It wasn't that effective for my mare, she seemed to be quite keen on her new friend but she could still box walk whilst keeping an eye on the friend! (living out is far better for her, hoping for a nice long summer!) Monique |
