Hello I am new I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on my horse's bloodlines, I am very lucky to be owned by a beautful bay mare who has Polish/old English lines ,I have looked her up on all breeds but am confused as to how Polish or Old English she is , I would really appreciate it if somebody could take a look and tell me http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/casmin+dawn

She was bred by G Croney in Essex. She does seem to have lots of polish on her dams side and Crabbett on her Sire's so was wondering what Crabbet percentage she would be.

Oh my goodness - George Croney is a name I haven't heard for a long while; he did a lot of showing with his stallion, The Snow Prince.

Sorry, I can't help with Crabbet percentage but I'm having a wander down memory lane now!

There is someone on this forum whose rather good at working out Crabbet percentages but I cant for the life of me think who it is at this minute. Why dont you use the search facility on here with something like 'crabbet percentages' it might turn up something

Casmin - Its Annette who can probably work out the Crabby % for you

Don't know if it helps you, but Silver Scenario crops up a couple of times in the pedigree, he is 54.8% crabbet being 50% English, 25% russian, 25% polish, Iridos is 95.3125% Crabbet, Nasmeshruk is straight russian, Good Friday is 87.890625% Crabbet, Gerwazy is Polish. Crystal King was 100% crabbet.

But you really need Annette

It was Annette who put me on to it - on allbreeds certain horses have a little info box that has been filled in with their breeding/crabbet percentage filled in - it comes up as a little i in a circle next to their name above the pedigree
