We're at Whitby & go on the beach. Is that too far for you?

Lucky you!! Riding on a beach is on my bucket list, it's something I've always wanted to do, but I don't have transport .

A friend of mine used to take her mare to Filey.

And someone once told me that Southport was a good beach to ride on.

Wherever you go, have a lovely time, and don't forget the piccies

The lady that owns Rosie's son does long-distance with him & shes now training on the beach twice weekly. They have one stretch of 4 1/2 miles from Whitby going northwards.
Word of warning- study the tide timetable first as the tide turns quickly.

Apparently you can go on the beach at Lytham St Annes near Blackpool as well - no permission needed, just part and go on - well that's what another Pony Club member told us. They do all their dressage training there - they mark the arena out in the sand.

This makes me realise how lucky I am here in Swansea we have loads of beaches to choose from around the Gower although some do have seasonal restrictions, so if you ever get the chance come riding in the Gower it's beautiful
