Found a photo taken about 1960 of the chestnut arab horse Rih-El-Gharb, owned and standing at stud with Miss Curry i Devon. I spent some time in the 70:ies with Miss Curry then married and was Mrs Lovett and saw alot of Rih-El-Gharb's off spring and hunted his son Firedance and grandson Solo Voyage. I think the PBA stallion Flamenco was also by him. Did he sire some purebred stock or was he only used in partbred breeding?

Rih-El-Barb Chestnut Mare 1962 out of Shamara (Sahban-Moraea)
Edited to add
Also Gitana bay mare 1955 out of Rhosalie (Saad x Rhoda), and she was the dam of Gheli, a bay colt 1968 and Galatee, a bay mare 1969 both by Sheraan. |

Sorry to jump in on your thread Pelle, but do you know if the same lady also owned Raqeb-el-Rih?http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/raqeb-el-rih
Some years ago a young lady brought her purebred mare to my PB stallion, she was by Raqeb
she didn't know much about him, but I'm pretty sure she said he came from the West country and was imported from Holland.
The mare was quite typy (Crabbet), chestnut 4 whites and a fairly wide blaze, she produced a chestnut colt, I think her owner had hoped for a Palomino, but when I last heard she still owned him. |
