Looks fab Jamie! I go to Balmedie- but its always very busy! Is there parking up there? Hope you had a fun time! My lad and I have taken a while to get used to the beach but think we might have overcome that hurdle now- we'll see!

Hi thanks for comments Spangle and SusanK-you take a right turn just as you come into the village of St Fergus. I will need to check with my OH as to what the signpost actually says It's tarred at the start and then turns to track but not too badly potholed. There is parking but again bit rough - I have an Ifor Williams trailer and manage fine - don't think you could do it in a lorry? You have to clamber up dune to get onto the beach! Usually very quiet although there are armed police - they generally come down and check that horsebox is transporting a horse and not a tribe of terrorists but don't actually bother you - sign of the times eh? You can go for miles towards Fraserburgh but too many rocky headlands if you head towards Peterhead There is also supposed to be a fab beach at St Combs but haven't been myself yet
