I often think, whilst reading all the discussion that takes place on this forum about which way this is going and which way that is going, how lucky we are. If you want to race....We have an Arab for that. If you want to compete at endurance.....We have an Arab for that. If you want to compete at top level competition in Dressage, eventing or showjumping ....We have an Arab (part bred/Anglo) for that. If you want your children to ride something that will look after them....We have an Arab for that. If you want a good all round riding pony that will compete at local shows.....We have an Arab for that If riding is not your thing and you want a horse so beautiful it takes you breath away, and all you want to do is look at it, watch it float across the ground and marvel at its incredible nobility and spirit without people thinking you are insane for not getting on its back....We have an Arab for that too! It is our decision which Arab we want for which discipline. How lucky we are!
I was only thinking something like that myself on Sunday - when I thought to myself "aren't I just so lucky to have the privilege of having two purebreds to ride, love and enjoy" (plus a retired purebred, a retired Anglo and A.N. Other).
