saddle, i really need to know before i splash out some hard earned dosh on a Thorowgood saddle, My plan is then 2011 or 2012 to buy a showing saddle depending on how we go?

I prefer a leather saddle for showing but no idea if a synthetic is acceptable in pre-novice - there are some that look very like leather so???? I would go for a leather with a synthetic for everyday use.Not much help I know!!
I think so - at pre-novice the judge doesn't ride and Thorowgoods look just like leather, so how would the judge ever know?
I once cleaned my friends Thorowgood Dressage Saddle with saddle soap after I had ridden her horse as I had no clue it wasn't leather Only found out when the soap didn't soak in lol!
we have shown at county level in a synthetic. as long as its comfy and has a straight enough cut to show the horses shoulder of then theres no problem. i plan to eventually buy a leather showing saddle but when my mares constntly changing shape and only riding 6 not much point just yet.
Can i show pre-novice ridden in synthetic?
