Great news!

The latest online news report in H&H covers the FEI decision to ban this practice at competitions.

Of course it won't stop its disciples doing it at home...

It is a result, however I think these horses are trained to accept the 'overbending' and the excessive aggressive force they talk about doesn't really come into it. I hope the ban works!

As you say Callisto, it's not going to stop any of them at home; they're convinced it's useful and good.

This is wonderful news, though, of course, it will still happen at home. It seems that they have only banned using it in warm up areas so it hasn't gone far enough. However, it is definitely a very big step in the right direction, and at least now, it is officially bad practice.
