Hi all you experts out there. In 1979 I purchased a beautiful bay arab filly called Esmeralda - she was by Blue John out of a mare called Salov (by Sahr x Lovely Surprise). She had a very bad start in life but we had a very special rapport. I bred two foals from her and I would love to know how they are doing.
Her first was Jamila Amira born in 1984 by Dardriss (Darjeel/Moulton Indyana) - I sold her as a 3 year old to a lady in Shropshire, but I believe she moved to East Anglia.
Her second filly was called (but the spelling may be wrong and my memory is rubbish) Shakera - I think she was born in 1986 and again was sold as a 2 or 3 year old. I have no paperwork to look back on as my ex destroyed everything.
Does anyone have any information of their whereabouts, or if they have produced foals themselves.

Someone has put the following onto allbreedspedigree.com for Shakera but I don't know how accurate this is.
Shahera, dark bay/brown mare, 14.1hh, born 1986, by Asfiya out of Esmeralda. She is also listed as having two progeny.
PRINCESS JALALAH dark chestnut mare, 14.3hh, born 1995, by Shambar (Banner Blue/Shamasque) out of Shahera. (Picture from allbreeds website)
Princess Jalalah has a dark bay/brown filly listed by So Black Alarabi called ALSHAMA ALARABI born 2006.
SHARRIF AL QUUA or SHARIF AL QUUA (he is on twice) a grey gelding, 15.1hh born 1993, by Kashan out of Shahera.
Someone has put on Jamila Amira but there is no progeny for her.

| Oh that is wonderful. Thank you so much. Yes this is the one I bred - I called her Holly as she had such a *****ly nature - afraid of humans when she was born and very much a mind of her own, but my god she was beautiful. Had it not been for my ill health and dreadful financial situation at the time, I would not have parted with her. I wonder where she is now? Is it possible to tell? I would love to see her, if she is still alive, or her offspring. Indeed I would love to own her, or her offspring!!! Her mum (Emma) was a beautiful Arabian who sadly only had a short life, but a happy one whilst with me. Thank you again, Jan |
